A portal to match Caregivers with Employers across Canada where support is needed.

Where do I go for support if the portal is not working or if I have questions about the portal?

For Technical Support, email technicalsupport@fineskilzcanada.com.

Does the LMS platform work on any laptop, phone or tablet?

Yes, you can link to the portal from any device. The portal works best if accessing via Chrome browser.

How do I reset my password?

You can reset your password by clicking the "Forgot Password" link on the portal login page. It's just below the fields where you would enter your username/password. You'll then be prompted to enter your username, click "Reset Password" and a link to reset your password will be sent to you via email. Be sure to check your junk/spam folder if you do not see the email in your inbox. Click the link in the email sent to you and follow the steps to reset your password.

I am interested in sharing my work experience. (E.g. resume) I think it will help with matching me with the best employer. Can I do that in the Portal?

Yes. Once you have completed the FineSkilz Canada curriculum and have been certified The portal will be able to accept a cover letter and resume in one file. The file format should be either Word or PDF and the file size should not exceed 2MB.

How will on boarding of new resources be managed (i.e. understanding of Immigration and Employment policies/procedures and standards)?

Once a match has been made both the employer and the health care provider will receive an email from SkilzCanada Immigration Consultants to set-up next steps in the process of Offer of Employment, Work Permit and Residency Application requirements with Immigration Canada.

How will an offer of employment and salary by an Employer be made?

The matching portal is intended to make that first connection between Employers in need of care providers with qualified and immigration eligible candidates. While the caregiver can reach out to search for job opportunities, once a match has been made, the employer is responsible for reaching out to the available health care provider to arrange next steps in the process and discuss details of the assignment, including payment and immigration requirements.

Can a health care provider work for multiple employers?

Ontario's Chief Medical Officer of Health has directed that wherever possible, in-home and long-term care homes should work with employees to limit the number of work locations that employees are working at, to minimize risk to patients of exposure to COVID-19. The PR Home Support Worker Pilot is an occupation restricted but OPEN WORK Permit. Meaning multiple employers are permitted. Temporary assignments however are closed work permits and limits it to one employer.
